Technical assistance related to tendering and implementation of Phare 2006 projects in the area of environment protection. The global and specific objectives were to assist the EC Delegation in the verification of attained preconditions for the commencement of the projects, technical review of the tender dossiers, assist in the ex-ante control of the tender dossiers and monitoring of the implementation of the following PHARE projects and their components: - Development of hazardous waste management system, including the identification and management of «hot spot sites» in Croatia;
- Establishment of Air Quality Monitoring and Management System. The project is initiated to build on the existing air quality monitoring network and to support the development of a comprehensive air quality management system: data transmission and acquisition, data quality control, data evaluation, publication and dissemination;
Provision of the technical assistance related to implementation of projects financed within Phare 2005 grant scheme for Business-related Infrastructure. The overall objective of the project is to assist the EC Delegation in monitoring of grant contracts, especially with regards to technical aspect of implementation of works components of the projects, with the view to ensure quality in current and future monitoring. The specific objectives of this project: to verify regularity of secondary procurements performed by grant beneficiaries for works, to identify best monitoring practices to be applied to a similar scheme within IPA Regional Competitiveness programme 2007-09.
