The specific objective of the project refers to raise awareness of the main NGOs in Romania regarding the public participation within the SEA Directive implementation and enforcement. The activities developed under this project were:

• To develop an assessment at the level of each targeted NGO in order to evaluate their interest and capacity to be involved in the project
  
• To organize a seminar in order to present the SEA Directive concept and requirements
  
• To design a draft Guideline on public participation within the strategic environmental assessment procedure
  
• To organize the final seminar for defining the Guideline
  
• To publish the Guideline on public participation within the strategic environmental assessment procedure
  
• To design a web page for disseminating the project results

The project was financed by Royal Dutch Embassy through Matra - Kap Grant.

The value of the project was 12,330 euro.
The duration was 1 Sptember 2004 - 4 March 2005.
