Objective
SAMTID II - SAMTID SECOND PHASE IMPLEMENTATION - Objective
The main objectives of the project are as follows:
- To support the Regional Operating Companies to become efficient, commercially viable regional water services companies through the implementation of a Financial and Operational Performance Improvement Program (FOPIP), aimed at improving their capacity to reduce costs, improve revenues and to improve standards of service;
- To strengthen the capacity of the central institutions involved in the implementation of SAMTID programme, Ministry of European Integration and Ministry of Administration and Interior, to discharge successfully of the duties and responsibilities incumbent to them;
- To strengthen the ability of the Associations of Municipalities members to manage and monitor successfully the activity of the Regional Operating Companies, including through monitoring their observance of the terms and conditions of the Concession Contracts, emphasising efficiency, cost-control and water loss reduction.
