Ecolinks supports projects submitted by eligible organizations
from the following countries: Bulgaria, Croatia *, Kazakhstan; The
Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Russia Far East *
, Slovakia, Ukraine.

Also, organizations from the following countries may apply in this
cycle on an exceptional basis as a Leader: Czech Republic, Estonia*,
Hungary, Latvia*, Lithuania, and Poland. A maximum of six applications
will be awarded special Legacy Grants.
Ecolinks environmental partnership grants:
Quick response Award - QRA
The following terms and conditions apply to Quick Response Awards (QRAs):
Only one QRA can be awarded to an organization during a twelve-month
period. An organization is not eligible for a QRA if it is currently
receiving funds for a Challenge Grant project.
Any and all written documents published as a result of EcoLinks assistance,
should acknowledge the support of both EcoLinks and the United States
Agency for International Development (USAID).
QRA funds cannot be used for the purchase of equipment, goods and services
for personal use, personal vacation travel expenses, and any other expense,
which is defined as "non-allowable” by USAID. A list of “non-allowable”
expenses will be provided upon request. (* “Equipment” applies
to any tangible and essential property, which has a long-term use of
more than one year. Furniture, computers and machinery are all examples
of equipment.)
EcoLinks and USAID representatives reserve the right to audit the project
at any time.
The EcoLinks reserves the right to publish and distribute a narrative
success story and lessons learned from all QRA activities in its web
site and other publications.
All air travel and shipments made over the Atlantic and Pacific oceans
using funds from this award must be arranged on US carriers wherever
such service is available. All personal flight tickets should be reserved
under coach class. The awardees must submit a written statement from
their travel agent if unable to locate a US carrier.
Any costs above the specified QRA amount awarded must be borne by the
QRA recipient.
EcoLinks staff reserves the right to award less than the total amount
requested in the original QRA application
