FIELD OF ACTIVITY
Mainly, crude oil and gas processing and marketing of petroleum and
petrochemical products
PROCESSING CAPACITY:
The present processing capacity: 3,500,000 tons/year (77,250
barrels/day) of sulfurous and sulfur-free crude oil, processed on the
plant commissioned in the year 1980.
The refinery medium complexity factor – the Nelson index –
is 8.69, being comparable to that of the USA refineries and higher than
many other indexes of European and Asian refineries.
PRODUCTION PROFILE:
The production and marketing of fuels and raw materials for
the petrochemical industry. RAFO is conceived like an integrated system
of refining, which includes:

Installations of primary processing

Installations of secondary processing of the crude oil distillates
-
Installations of deep conversion
-
Producing the basis for aromatic hydrocarbons.
S.C. “RAFO” S.A. Onesti is the licensee of internationally
reputed firms in the field:

UOP, USA - for the processes of catalytic reformation, catalytic
cracking, PAREX, IMX;
-
SELAS, France - for hydrogen factories;
-
PETROLITE, Germany - for the process of electric desalinization.
Beginning with the year 1992, S.C. “RAFO” S.A. Onesti acquired
licenses of new technologies and software for the amount of 1,517,000
USD.
