Background

DANCEE - Danish environmental support for Central and Eastern Europe has been established in 1993. The agreement between the Ministry of Waters, Forests and Environmental Protection in Romania and the Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy was signed in 1994. Until the end of 1999 the total value of the contracts signed for Romania is approx. 20 mil.  USD. In year 2000 Romania will benefit of 7-9 mil. USD from DANCEE support. The implementing unit is the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (DEPA).
